On March 19, at 3:30 p.m., there will be a monthly meeting of the Chambers Clover Watershed Council on zoom. This is a link to access their information, materials and meeting agendas. CCWC is a convening body, they bring together various other organizations that work within the watershed on everything from stream projects and wildlife to surface water management and conservation.
CCWC also has small grants up to $2500 for groups that want to do projects inside the watershed that align with their group’s goals. The grant application and information is here.
CCWC just released their most recent assessment of the watershed condition and needs, a five year action plan. The cover is the Chamber Bay dam that already has grant funding to remove as it serves no purpose anymore. A Steilacoom housing project across the street and the bridge behind the dam will influence how this removal proceeds.
