WSDOT — In preparation for the opening of the SR 509 Expressway in Sea-Tac this year and the SR 167 Expressway in Fife in 2026, the Washington State Transportation Commission is beginning its toll setting process.  The expressways are new stretches of roadway that don’t currently exist today.

Details are below, and questions should be directed to the Transportation Commission at: transc@wstc.wa.gov. The process of setting rates starts with the public, and the commission is providing a couple of ways for you to get involved:

• Check out our online open house, which will be running through April 6. You can learn more about the tolling options for the expressways and provide comments in writing.
• Two virtual public input meetings will be held where information will be shared on the tolling options, and the public will have the chance to testify. The two open houses will be held on:
