EATONVILLE – As soon as Wednesday, April 2, travelers will notice new speed limit signs on sections of State Route 7/Mountain Highway between Elbe and Silver Lake in Pierce County.
Revised SR 7 speed limits
- 30 mph in Elbe between milepost 17.18 and milepost 17.33.
- 45 mph south of Eatonville between milepost 26.16 and milepost 33.03.
- 55 mph near Silver Lake between milepost 33.03 and milepost 33.10.
The speed changes are the result of speed studies Washington State Department of Transportation coordinated with Washington State Patrol.
The new speed limits are enforceable as soon as signs are installed.
