On April 12, the Scandinavian Cultural Center (SCC) will present an event called Cultural Footprints, featuring historical and present-day weaving, colors, and textiles. The event will be held at the SCC in the Anderson University Center from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free to the public.
The Center will feature displays of textiles and weavings from wool to beads all around their museum cases. It will also feature two textile artists, Lourdes Mireya Jiménez and Julissa Vásquez Jiménez from Teotitlán del Valle, Oaxaca, Mexico.
The Cultural Footprints Event was supported by the generosity of the Helen Marvik Gorsenson Fund. Photos are from a dinner featured on Wednesday evening, April 9.
