June 30 at 6:00 p.m. the Pierce County Council will hold and In-District Council meeting on District #5 at the new Franklin Pierce Performing Arts Center, 11002 18th Avenue E Tacoma, WA 98445. The building in next to Franklin Pierce High School.
The Pierce County Council is set to hold its annual in-district meeting for District 5 on Monday, June 30, 2025, at 6 p.m. at the Franklin Pierce Performing Arts Center.
Those attending in person are encouraged to bring a canned or non-perishable food item to support the Franklin Pierce Family Resource Center and help nourish families in our community. Your generosity can provide hope and sustenance to those who need it most.

This in-district meeting features a Community Health & Wellness Panel, which brings together several local leaders and organizations dedicated to enhancing well-being across Pierce County.
In addition to the wellness panel, the Executive Director of the Blue Zones Project for Parkland-Spanaway will discuss efforts to create healthier and happier neighborhoods. A representative from Harvest Pierce County will introduce opportunities for residents to participate in community gardens and local harvest programs, encouraging everyone to grow their own food and support local agriculture.
Family & Community Partnerships will also share how the Resource Center is making a difference through food distribution and community-building initiatives that strengthen local families.
In-district meetings are a vital component of the Council’s commitment to accessibility and transparency. They provide community members opportunities to engage directly with their elected officials, discuss local issues, and participate in the legislative process in a way that isn’t always readily available.
