Clover-Chambers Watershed Festival – celebrating our local water resources, Oct 11

On October 11, the Clover Creek Restoration Alliance (CCRA) and Clover Chamber Watershed Council (CCWC) are holding their first ever Watershed Festival. The Clover-Chambers Watershed Festival will be held on the grounds of Clover Park Technical College’s Natural Resources Laboratory and Research Park. That location is across Steilacoom Blvd. from the college, along Flett Creek.

The public event is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Prior to the festival, there will be a habitat stewardship event from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on site.

Organizations that have an interest in ecology, water resources, and natural resources, are welcome to contact Derek Faust at 253.589.5506, derek.faust@cptc.edu for information on tabling at the event. Ideas for additional activities are welcome also. This is the first event of its kind and they are open to great ideas.

This event was inspired by the Nisqually Watershed Festival that happens every year at the Billy Frank Nisqually national Wildlife Refuge. Come out and see what our local watershed is all about.
