Learn how you can CHARGE into Fire Safety at our Fire Prevention Week Open House on October 11th, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Station 60. Event by Central Pierce Fire & Rescue, 17520 22nd Ave E, Tacoma, WA 98445-4444.

Visitors will be invited to visit different community partners we have in lithium-ion battery safety, including:

 LRI – Our waste management partner will be discussing proper recycling for rechargeable batteries in our community

 HAZMAT – A member from our HAZMAT team will showcase our methods and procedures when handling battery fires

 Public Educators – Will be presenting a 15-minute lesson on proper usage of rechargeable batteries

 Bricks 4 Kidz – This STEM company allows kids to safely use lithium-ion batteries while coding robots to perform simple tasks
