At today’s Chambers Clover Watershed Council meeting, the representative from the Tacoma Pierce County Health Department confirmed that a dog apparently has died from drinking water from Spanaway Lake’s toxic algae laden water.

Please remember not to let your pets drink water from the lake.

To confirm, the Pierce Prairie Post has reviewed an email from the Veterinarian that treated the dog. The friend that forwarded the email noted the pet was a chihuahua.
