Lā Kūʻokoʻa 1843 & Medicine Creek Treaty 1854
Lā Kūʻokoʻa Hawaiian Independence and the Medicine Creek Treaty will be celebrated with a potluck, at 1 p.m. with community at the Parkland Community Center, 214 121st St S. The event is to help the next generation to know their rich history through celebration, song, dance and sharing the meal. We hope you will join us.

Purpose of the Event
●Honor the ancestral relationship between Coast Salish and Kanaka Māoli communities
●Provide a safe and uplifting cultural space for youth and families
●Bring together organizations who believe in unity, healing, and culture
●Strengthen community bonds through food, music, stories, and shared values
●Recognize the Medicine Creek Treaty date with respect and dignity
●Encourage COLLABORATION, not competition
●Build bridges between Tribes, Kanaka Māoli, nonprofit, and local groups to the community
