The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flooding Advisory for the Puget Sound coastal areas of Pierce County from 01-03-2026 04:00 AM to 08:00 AM.
Minor to moderate coastal flooding is expected with inundation of up to 2.0 – 2.5 feet along shorelines and low-lying coastal areas. These conditions are expected during high tides for interior coastlines both Saturday and Sunday and could be further exacerbated by wind and wave activity.
SAFETY TIPS
• Make sure gutters and storm drains around your home are clear of debris.
• Do not drive through water over roadways. A small amount of water can disable or strand a vehicle or cause the driver to lose control.
• Monitor this site and local media for updates and if evacuations are necessary.
• Remove loose items outside your home so they do not get swept up by tides or flood waters and damage property or injure people.
• Secure items you cannot easily or safely move before the high tide.
