Come join the America 250 celebration and Washington State Patriotic Day (WSPD), a free public event designed to celebrate patriotism and honor active-duty military, veterans, and first responders for their service. 

The Washington State Governor, Bob Ferguson, proclaimed a specific day to honor all Washington Veterans and First Responders. Each year, the Joint Base Lewis McChord (JBLM) I Corps band plays a concert, and a guest speaker provides an inspiring speech about President Washington, service, and patriotism. Military, community, and over 50 service organizations parade US flags and unit colors. 

This annual ceremony is a great civic and patriotic learning event for young and old. This year’s event will take place at Pioneer Middle School in DuPont, on 21 March 2026, from 2-4 pm.
