Watershed Youth Essay Contest

on

CCRA – the Clover Creek Restoration Alliance, is a ‘boots on the ground’ group working to restore, advocate, inform, and engage people about the water that supplies their community.

Formerly the Clover Creek Council, CCRA has been working on projects through grants and donations, to plant trees and native vegetation, remove invasive species like ivy, Himalayan blackberry, poison hemlock, and reed canary grass among others. Their advocacy with local cities, Pierce County, and the State of Washington, is working to bring awareness and dollars to projects to make the waterways function better.

Now the group is offering to bring more awareness to local kids from 16 to 19 with cash awards for a Youth Essay Contest.

What’s Happening to the Water Where You Live?

  • What have you seen with your own eyes?
  • What concerns you?
