Accident was not a fatality. An SUV driver passed a car on the right shoulder and crashed into a logging truck parked on the shoulder. The passenger of the SUV was seriously injured and the driver will be facing charges.
12/21/12 update
J&J Auto Repair and Towing reports the red Taurus that allegedly caused the wreck contained a great deal of copper wiring likely to have been stolen.

Since the Sheriff’s Department doesn’t seem to want to return contacts, this is from witnesses on sight. The red Taurus passed the SUV on the right, crossing the white line marking the shoulder. Parked on the shoulder was a logging truck. The red car struck the axel of the truck, breaking it. The rear of the truck fell on the red car. They are, indeed, very lucky to be alive.

I would like to ask for you to please get your stories correct before posting them. Before anything is even official your claiming its a fatality accident. I am family of one of them and would ask you take into consideration the families.
That is how it was initially report to me. You have my apologies and my prayers for your loved one who is injured. Usually major roads are not completely closed unless the accident is a fatality so the report seemed credible. I am glad to know that is not the case.
Im happy that wasnt a fatality but prayers go out to both parties the driver and the passanger. I know the driver and he is a great young man and im sure he didnt mean to do any harm, please remember he also has injuries.
If you are willing, keep us updated as they are healing.
