Bethel Athletic Highlights for the Week of 1‐16‐13

BETHEL HS

Girls Bowling – Qualified 4 bowlers for the West Central District Tournament on January 26th. Congratulations to Hayley Clinton, Keila Ham, Callie Carter and Courtney Littrell. Courtney Littrell was named 1st team all league while Hayley Clinton and Keila Ham were named 2nd team all league.

Boys Basketball – Defeated Graham–‐Kapowsin as James Moore scored 27 points while Dominque Lewis added 16 and Joseph Johnson 12. Defeated Puyallup as Dominque Lewis scored 20 points while Bryce Bowers added 17 and James Moore 13. Lost in overtime by one to Federal Way as Joseph Johnson scored 25 points while James Moore added 14 and Dominque Lewis 10.

Girls Basketball – Defeated Graham–‐Kapowsin as Kaytreeona Mack scored 16 points. Lost to Puyallup as Sweets Battle scored 11 points while Breaunna Fontenette added 8. Lost to Federal Way as Sweets Battle scored 15 points while Micayla Stephen added 9 points.

Boys Wrestling – Defeated Spanaway Lake as Oscar Springsteen, Jonathon Aguon, Matt Forsyth, Nathan Lowey, Trevor Repp, Brian Woolery and Derek Fry were winner in their weight class.

GRAHAM–‐KAPOWSIN HS

Girls Bowling – Qualified as a team for the West Central District Tournament on January 26th. Congratulations to Morgan Thetford, Katelyn Carlson, Ashley Tryfon, Emily Menefee, Madison Rayner, Emma Schmitz, Katy Schmitz and Coach Mike Stallman. Morgan Thetford and Katelyn Carlson were named 2nd team all league. Lost to Emerald Ridge as Emily Menefee rolled a 317 series.

Boys Basketball – Lost to Bethel as Kahlil Dawson scored 12 points while Alexander Jones added 10. Lost to Puyallup as Alexander Jones scored 19 points while Donovan Miller and Perry Perkins each added 10.

Girls Basketball – Lost to Bethel as Elise Scacciotti and Sierra Knapton each scored 6 points. Lost to Puyallup as Sheena Coers scored 10 points

Boys Wrestling – Defeated Rogers as Schroeder, Romano, Ferreira, Steen, Busey, Klein, Gomez and Boynton were winners in their weight class.

SPANAWAY LAKE HS

Girls Bowling – Qualified 2 bowlers for the West Central District Tournament on January 26th. Congratulations to Kelly Kenner and Kaila Norton. Keely Kenner was named 1st team all league while Kaila Norton was named 2nd team all league. Lost to Curtis as Kaila Norton rolled a 311 series.

Boys Basketball – Lost to Federal Way as Braxton Tucker scored 21 points while Ricky Smith added 12. Lost to Beamer as Braxton Tucker scored 23 points while Myles Springer added 16 and Kwame Awadjie scored 15. Defeated Rogers as Braxton Tucker scored 27 points while Myles Springer added 12.

Girls Basketball – Lost to Federal Way as Nneka Nnadi scored 18 points. Lost to Beamer as Nneka Nnadi scored a game high 29 points while Kendra Williams added 13. Lost to Rogers as Nneka Nnadi scored 14 points.

Boys Wrestling – Lost to Bethel as Angel Coria, Brian Short, Donte Mack, Zach Bickford, Raul Veliz, Brandon Champaco and Ryan Towe were winners in their weight class.

MIDDLE SCHOOL ATHLETICS

BETHEL MS

Wrestling – Varsity lost to Cedarcrest and varsity defeated Liberty.

Girls Basketball –‐ CEDARCREST MS Wrestling – Varsity defeated Bethel and varsity lost to Cougar Mt.

COUGAR MOUNTAIN MS

Wrestling – Varsity defeated Frontier and varsity defeated Cedarcrest.

FRONTIER MS

Wrestling – Varsity lost to Cougar Mt and varsity defeated Spanaway. Girls Basketball – Varsity defeated Cougar Mt. and JV lost to Cougar Mt.

LIBERTY MS

Wrestling – Varsity lost to Spanaway and Bethel. Girls Basketball – Varsity lost to Spanaway in OT and JV defeated Spanaway.

SPANAWAY MS

Wrestling – Varsity defeated Liberty and lost to Frontier. Girls Basketball – Varsity defeated Liberty in OT and JV lost to Liberty.
