Along the way from here to there… sun dogs on May Day

on

Today, May 1,  is elsewhere celebrated as International Workers Day, and I think it appropriate to acknowledge all those who preceded us who fought – and many died – for human dignity for working people and better lives for all.

May Day brought a beautiful sunrise at the SR 512 Park and Ride and a lovely sunset with sun dog (rainbows) from the ice crystal refraction in the atmosphere. There were long lines of commuter bus backups in Seattle due to the May Day march on 2nd Avenue and a rally at the Federal Building. There’s a new “doo” on the Pacific Avenue Dinosaur thanks to Native Quest, the new occupant of the property. Does anyone actually know the history of the dinosaur?
