We’ve done it!
The Nisqually Land Trust has been awarded accreditation by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission.
We are excited and honored to announce that your Nisqually Land Trust has been awarded national accreditation by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission. Accreditation is independent confirmation that the Land Trust meets rigorous standards for excellence, upholds the public trust and ensures that our conservation efforts are permanent.
Since the program began in 2008 fewer than 15 percent of land trusts nationwide have been awarded accreditation.
Nearly 25 years ago, the Land Trust began with a dream and a promise: to protect the most precious natural resources in the Nisqually River Watershed forever through cooperative, voluntary conservation.
Since then, with the support of you, our members and watershed partners, we have conserved over 4,500 acres of critical wildlife habitat. Thank you for your voices and your trust; for rolling up your sleeves, donning your rubber boots and helping plant a tree or pull scotch broom; for sending your hard-earned dollars to help turn our shared vision into permanent conservation success.
We believe that achieving national accreditation recognizes the importance of these accomplishments and is something our entire organization – including each of you – can be very proud of.
With warm regards,
Joe Kane
Executive Director
