Nature Mapping with the Nisqually Land Trust Sept. 21

Come join the Nisqually Land Trust & Northwest Trek, Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 9 am – 12 pm for a no-experience necessary nature mapping event at the NLT’s Powell Creek Uplands & Lowlands. This volunteer opportunity involves walking on old, unmaintained logging roads and may include some bushwhacking through the woods. With your help, we’ll collect valuable wildlife data that will help us to best manage the property for wildlife. This is a great activity for seniors, young families, and everyone in between!Nisqually Land Trust

To RSVP for directions to this event (on Peissner Road, Yelm), please contact:

Rachael Mueller at Northwest Trek: 360-832-7160  jessica.moore@nwtrek.org

Please bring personal snacks and water as needed. Dress comfortably for rain or shine weather. There are NO RESTROOMS available at this site.  Thank you and we hope to see you Saturday!Northwest Trek

[Editor note: This is a good outreach event that involves people who otherwise might not have opportunities to talk about the natural landscape and its components. You might want to brush up on the names of animals before you participate.]
