Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. — The 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) will be conducting a Valor Award ceremony to recognize Soldier’s heroic actions while serving the nation.

WHEN:             December 13, 10:00 – 11:30am

The valor awards being presented include: one Soldiers Medal, four Bronze Stars with “V” (valor) devices, five Army Commendation Medals with “V” devices, and three Purple Hearts.

Key note speaker will be LTC Patrick Duggan, Commander of 3rd Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne).  Medals will be presented by the Commander of Special Operations Command Pacific, Rear Adm. P. Gardner Howe III, and the Commander of the 1st SFG(A), Col. Robert McDowell.
