BETHEL SCHOOL DISTRICT — Bethel High School has been awarded Cambridge International School status by Cambridge International Examinations. Starting in September 2014, the school will offer Cambridge programs and qualifications, including Cambridge IGCSE Biology, IGCSE Literature & Language Arts, and AICE Mathematics 1.
“We are delighted to announce that Bethel High School has joined our global community of Cambridge schools. We look forward to a long and productive relationship which will be of great benefit to learners throughout the region,” chief executive of Cambridge International Examinations Michael O’Sullivan.
“This is a great opportunity not only for Bethel High School but for the entire Bethel School District,” said BHS principal Cliff Anderson. “We have just taken academic rigor to a new level of excellence.”
Cambridge programs and qualifications are recognized and valued by universities and employers around the world. Cambridge helps schools deliver the best education possible by providing comprehensive support, including teacher training, classroom resources and membership of a global learning community.
“There are few programs in the world that can match the curriculum, training, and intensity that Cambridge will bring to the students and staff of Bethel High,” Anderson said. “All of the major colleges in America recognize Cambridge as a top notch academic program and will offer college credits for taking Cambridge classes while in high school. Our students desire the best and they will be getting it with the Cambridge International Program.”
Cambridge International Examinations is the world’s largest provider of international education programs and qualifications for 5 to 19 year olds. It is part of the University of Cambridge, one of the world’s top universities and trusted for excellence in education.
