I made that up, sounds good doesn’t it? Spanaway Lakefest. It needed it’s own name. Its actually a really an exciting event that takes over the lake with roaring hydros, the park with bustling crews, visitors and vendors and fills Spanaway with the same great sound as Seafest in Seattle!

It’s the annual races for the Tacoma Inboard Association. These aren’t the unlimiteds, but this isn’t Seattle either. This is the limited hydro races. You’ll have a roaring good time with races, drivers, food and fun at Spanaway Park. It costs $3 to get into the park, that’s all. That’s about 1/10th of Seafest, and all the excitement of competition.

Last year, they held the Inboard Nationals at Spanaway Lake. This year it’s not Nationals, it’s the Western Divisionals. Happening, both Saturday September 6 and Sunday, September 7, noon to 6 p.m.
