News from Bethel Schools: Let’s Rock the Ridge with Digital Learning

Hi everyone,

We really need your help! A teacher from Rocky Ridge, one of our elementary schools, is a national finalist in the Farmers Insurance $100,000 Dream Big Teacher Challenge.

Elissa Dornan is competing head-to-head with proposals from Idaho and Montana. She needs as many votes as possible to win the contest.  If she wins, the money will be earmarked for iPads and other technology that will help level the playing field for children in her school.

Rocky Ridge has worked hard to become one of the most improved schools in our district and the State – and the staff and students have accomplished this through sheer determination.

Please help their ‘Big Dream’ come true and help us get the word out. We would appreciate any mentions, articles, stories or even social media posts. The contest runs from now until Nov. 30. People can vote as many times as they’d like between now and then.

Attached are a press release and some pictures of Elissa teaching and the surprise announcement Farmers made at a school assembly in September. We have also posted a series of videos and articles on the campaign’s website: Please let me know if you have questions.
