The annual Seattle to Portland Event is cycling through Pierce County July 13 -14, 2019. Spanaway Middle School is a busy stop along the way with porta-potties, snacks, repairs, water, sun lotion and other useful tools for the visitors passing through. Families of the cyclists in cars and trucks, also stop in to check on their riders.

Be very careful along Canyon Road, 104th Street, Waller Road and Military Road and Perimeter Road. Better yet, avoid those roads if at all possible Saturday until late afternoon.
