Hello stakeholders and friends of parks! We could really use your help in getting the Orangegate Master Plan Update Survey out to as many of your friends/members as possible. Please ask folks to visit the Orangegate Master Plan webpage and click on the survey icon to participate. Here’s a little background you could include to orient people to the project:

Pierce County Parks is updating the 2007 Orangegate Master Plan and wants your input! Orangegate Park currently consists of 160 undeveloped acres located along 84th St, west of Canyon Road The park is within the rural area of unincorporated Pierce County and does not contain ‘urban infrastructure’ such as sewer or sidewalks. 

The 2007 Master Plan identified a number of features.  The survey asks for your input on these features as well as what might be interesting today.  The Master Plan Update will be completed in the first half of 2021 followed by design and engineering. Construction is expected to start in 2022 or 2023 and will be completed in a series of phases. The first phase is anticipated to follow the same timeline as the construction of the Pipeline Trail.
