On Tuesday November 23, 2021, the Pierce County Council, through Proposed Ordinance 2021-115s, may have funds available for sewer and water utility projects to “qualified programs.”
The program shall provide funding to support financial partnerships with local governments and qualified housing organizations. Program funds are available for up to 100 percent of the amount of ARPA-eligible costs of a qualified project, subject to the commitment requirements of this section and the funding and use limits in Sections 4 and 5.”
“Local government” means any unit of local or tribal government and includes their instrumentalities and special purpose districts. Even the new Spanaway Lake Management District may qualify for the funding. Makes one wonder if the City of Roy could possibly get something started with new infrastructure money becoming available.
The council will take public testimony at their meeting Tuesday, November 23. The meeting begins at 3 p.m. and will take place in the Council Chambers on the 10th floor of the County City Building and also on the zoom link in their agenda.
