Every year, the County Council has meetings in each district instead of the Council Chambers. The 6th District, which includes West Parkland, Lakewood and Anderson Island, has a meeting May 25, at 6 p.m. at the Lakewood City Hall Council Chambers, 6000 Main Street SW, Lakewood, WA 98499. For those that have an interest in the Parkland School de-listing and demolition, the Citizen’s Forum at the end of the meeting gives anyone 3 minutes to discuss any Council topic. (The Council does not respond to these, however.)

The Parkland School is currently a State listed historic site, State Historic Register Property # 29536.
