It’s in Tacoma, Puyallup, Sumner and Orting this weekend, the Annual Daffodil Parade is back to cheer us up for Springtime! As usual in the Spring, the weather will be 50 degrees F with intermittent rain showers, so bring your umbrella or rain hat. If you watch the weather report, you can now choose which location is most likely to have an opening in the clouds. Well, that is, unless you are in the parade, then you tough it out and warm up between parade sites.
Parade Date: April 6th, 2024, starting times are:
Tacoma 10:15 a.m. Puyallup 12:45 p.m.
Sumner 2:30 p.m. Orting 5:00 p.m.
The parade order is partly determined by who is the Queen. This year she is from Puyallup, so Puyallup and Emerald Ridge will be earliest in the parade. Bethel band is #67, Cougar Mountain is #69, and Frontier is #73. PLU is #80, Franklin Pierce is #104, and Washington is #107.
FYI, The Spring Fair starts Thursday, April 11, for two weekends, April 11-14 & 18-21.
