We’re excited to announce an upcoming opportunity for you to get involved in shaping the future of our transportation infrastructure! The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is hosting an SR 7 Pre-design Online Open House, and your input is crucial to the success of this project. 

What’s Happening?
The SR 7 Pre-design project aims to enhance our roadways and make travel safer and more efficient in Spanaway. WSDOT wants to hear from community members like you to ensure the project aligns with local needs and priorities.

If you look at the details, there are several ROUNDABOUTS proposed for the Mountain Highway. Please make yourselves available for this. You need to give your input!

    This appears to be similar to the Pierce Transit BRT project that was being designed a few years ago. Why is WSDOT taking this on, on its own when it could have been combine with that project at a lower cost? Additional there are a number of intersections along SR 7 such as 112th that need a roundabout and were designed as part of the BRT project. WSDOT had the opportunity to help fund these. This project is necessary but is now much more costly than need be.
