Family Promise of Pierce County is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization assisting families without homes to get rehoused and to assist with barriers to housing including, joblessness, addiction, and mental health needs. Families can be a mother and child leaving a domestic violence situation, or a mom, dad and three kids living in a car. If there is a parent and a child, Family Promise is the right step to get them into a better living situation.
FPPC is also the source for intake for all Pierce County homeless people from kids to single adults. The intake program, the “Ash Nazg Portal” can help anyone who is homeless and direct them to resources near them. Remarkably, it was discovered this can help anyone find nearby resources, even those out of state. (If you are a Lord of the Rings fan, you might recognize Ash Nazg.) This system is also referred to as coordinated entry. It is designed to help people get off the streets at night.
There’s no place like home.
