Pierce County Human Services will host a virtual Community Feedback Session on Wednesday, Oct. 15, from 5 – 8 p.m., to gather resident input on the Draft Comprehensive Plan to End Homelessness Update. This session is the last of three public meetings held this year to inform the plan, which serves as Pierce County’s required State Five-Year Housing and Homeless Plan.
The session will focus on reviewing the plan’s proposed goals and strategies for 2026. Residents will have the opportunity to ask questions, learn about homelessness in Pierce County, and provide direct feedback on the draft. This event is free, open to the public, and can be accessed here or by visiting www.piercecountywa.gov/homelessplan.
“This plan is a roadmap for our community’s response to homelessness, and public feedback is the most critical tool we have to ensure it’s effective, equitable, and community driven,” said Devon Isakson, Social Services Supervisor for Homeless Programs. “We urge everyone to join the conversation and help shape our path forward.”
Participants unable to attend the virtual session can submit written comments through the online Public Comment Form until Oct. 16. Following this feedback period, another 30-day public comment period will open before the Pierce County Council votes on the plan’s final adoption in December.
