The annual Thor Heyerdahl lecture is scheduled for Tuesday, October 6th (Heyerdahl’s birthday!) at the Scandinavian Cultural Center (SCC) starting at 7pm, doors open at 6:30pm. 

PLU’s Dr. Don Ryan, who worked directly with Thor Heyerdahl, is arranging the program and will share stories and personal insights about that remarkable and inspirational man who was a pioneer in experimental archaeology, an ocean environmentalist, and a world peace advocate.  Dr. Ryan is currently a Faculty Fellow in the School of Liberal Studies at Pacific Lutheran University.

This event is free and open to the public.  The SCC will provide refreshments.
