I was born and raised in China. In 2009, life took an unexpected turn: I was sent to the U.S. by my parents to pursue higher education. After 6 years of studying, working, and living the American life, I learned the language (still learning) and have become too comfortable with the culture, which is what my mom would always say whenever we chat. Experiencing language and cultural differences in a foreign country takes more guts and a much thicker skin than you'd think. But life starts when our comfort zones end. It's been a fun, exciting journey, which I will continue. There will be no end of it. #YOLO
