At the “All Classes Reunion” Sunday in Spanaway Park, after the fried chicken, potato salad and other pot luck delights, the Bethel and Spanaway Lake graduates took part in a reunion softball game. Lori Haun and her Mellophonium became the band, playing the national Anthem and various memorable charge songs for the Bethel team.

No strike outs or walks were allowed, everyone had to hit the ball. There were several lucky catches, foul balls and a couple grand slams. After seven innings, the score was 21 to 17 in Bethel’s favor and the participants, most of whom were celebrating their 30th reunion,  were exhausted.
