SPANAWAY, WA — Today’s visit to the Spanaway Post Office revealed a pleasant surprise, the hole at the entrance has been filled with rip rap. There is no longer a giant hole that will fill with water and swallow small cars of unwary drivers.

A few months ago, while the hole was filled with water, the Post sent a letter to the Department of transportation that put the hole there during the sidewalk project a few years ago. Thank you WSDOT for finally filling in the hole. We feel safer already.
