Saturday, March 29, was the annual spaghetti fundraiser for the South Pierce County Altrusa Club. This group of business women participates in projects for local needy, childhood literacy, high school scholarships for Bethel and Franklin Pierce district and even helped organize and create the local LeMay SkatePark.
The secret and famous Nancy LeMay spaghetti sauce was a hit once again, but admittedly, I came as always for the spumoni ice cream and the chance to visit the Marymount Chapel with is marble altar, stained glass windows and frescoes. Other guests toured the famous collection of motorcycles and automobiles on the grounds.
Bravo for the great work our local Altrusans do in the community!
Thank you for the article on our Wine, Dine and Tour fundraiser. Great job. Karen
