Brup, brup, brup, brup… it’s propeller music to my ears. At Tacoma Narrows Airport, the planes for the Tacoma Freedom Fair & Air Show and Gig Harbor’s Wings & Wheel’s are arriving.

Tacoma Freedom Fair & Air Show is July 4^th over Commencement Bay from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and centered in Old Town Tacoma. Gig Harbor’s Wings & Wheel’s is July 3 at the Tacoma Narrows Airport from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The vintage cars will arrive early Sunday morning.

As I was locating the way through the gate onto the field, the DC-3 and Grumman Bearcat flew past the Air Traffic Control Tower. Chris Pfaff from the Tacoma Events Commission escorted me to the tarmac just as the DC-3 landed. They are arriving from Pain Field in Everett where the Historic Flight Foundation is located.
