I just wanted to provide information about Chase Garden, which was bequeathed by Emmott & Ione Chase to the Garden Conservancy upon Emmott’s death in 2010.
They have been managing the property from Cold Spring NY. Here is the statement posted on our website:
The Garden Conservancy will continue to manage the garden through the end of June. It will be closing to the public on June 30th. To better secure a sustainable future for the garden, the Garden Conservancy is pursuing a sale to a friendly buyer and continues to be open to finding a local organization to manage Chase as a public garden.
We are still working to find a non-profit organization willing to take the garden and keep it open to the public. If that effort fails, it will be put on the market. Since you had your board meeting here last year and are familiar with this local community asset, I wanted to keep you in the loop! Please feel free to share this information and direct people who have questions my way.
