Today is the 5th anniversary of the Pierce Prairie Post. Five years ago, I was debating with myself if I could get enough information, photos, stories to make it work. Thank you to everyone who sends me press releases, stories, photos and leads! You are the ones who help me make it work.
Since the one thing that didn’t pan out was advertising dollars, we pretty much gave up on it and I do this all for free. That’s why sometimes there are days between articles, I have a real job (to live on) and it gets in the way. Also, WordPress would charge $100 to stop their ads from showing up on this page. That’s not me, it’s the host, WordPress placing those ads.
Thank you for being readers and community supporters. A big thanks and hugs to everyone who gets out in their community and helps make it work for everyone with the things YOU do! Isn’t that sharing what it is really all about?
Here’s to you and me and the community! Cheers!
I love your blog, Marianne, and I’m so thankful to have found it. I appreciate you keeping us informed about current issues affecting our area, and I especially enjoy the history lessons.
Thank you for all you do!

Thank you for your community dedication Marianne. I read the Pierce Prairie Post faithfully but haven’t given much thought about how it magically appears in my in box.
I do share your blog with friends and neighbors so I hope that has resulted in more news and readership.
Cheers to you Marianne! Appreciate the time and energy you put in to the blog, keeping us informed, up to date on issues in our area.
