SPANAWAY, WA — My car steered itself into the parking lot at South End (Ace) Hardware this morning. There was owner, Brian Stead, cleaning the parking lot with a leaf blower. Of course, after a cheery hello, I asked him when the favorite hardware store in Spanaway would reopen. His answer was 8 a.m., Wednesday, February 12, 2020.

Jim’s U-Fish will bring out their camel for the event. Another local business plans to have some donuts on hand for the early visitors. It sounds like a small celebration is brewing among long time customer to celebrate the return of their favorite locally, owned hardware store. This is what a small community is all about.
