USA 250th Parades, Potlucks, and Fun!

It has been 250 years since that original Declaration of Independence from the King of England. There is nothing like the pride and fun of a small town Fourth of July celebration! Here is where to find them. Have a safe, but fun Fourth!

The City of Roy 4th of July Parade begins at the Rodeo grounds for staging and at NOON, moves along Warner Street and back on James. Afterward there is a community potluck at the newly refurbished Roy City Park on Cedar Street.

In the Town of Eatonville, the parade kicks off at 12:00 PM on July 4th along Mashell Ave, featuring local businesses, community groups, creative floats, and plenty of small-town charm.  4th of July parade registration for entries for Eatonville.

The City of Orting, in collaboration with the Orting Valley Farmers Market, hosts a free community festival celebrating Independence Day. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Main City Park and North Park.

The City of DuPont will hold multiple free family events. This is where the very first Fourth of July was celebrated in Washington when the Wilkes Expedition arrived at Fort Nisqually in 1841. This year the DuPont Historical Society will hold a pancake breakfast at 8 a.m. at the Museum. At 10 a.m. a parade will begin in the historic town on Haskell St. and continue to McDonald Ave. then Thompson St. to Clocktower Park. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., there will be live music, food and vendors at the park. At dusk there will be fireworks at City Hall. (See the Pierce Prairie Post here with their Descendants of Fort Nisqually Employees & Clover Creek Restoration Alliance donkey cart.)

Red, White & KABOOM is coming your way with an entire evening of music, good food, drinks, and one of the BEST fireworks shows in the South Sound sponsored by the Puyallup Sumner Chamber of Commerce. $30 per car July 3, 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Gold & Teal lots, Washington State Fair Events Center.
