JBLM Holiday Ceremonies Dec 4,5 and 8

JBLM hosts Christmas Tree and Menorah lighting ceremonies on Lewis Main and McChord Field Dec. 4, 5 and 8

JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. – JBLM commander, Col. H. Charles Hodges, Jr. is inviting Soldiers, Airmen, and their families to join him and other base leaders in kicking off the holiday season during the annual JBLM Christmas Tree lighting ceremonies.

Dec. 4, 4:30 p.m., Lewis Main

The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Lewis Main begins at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 4 in front of Jensen Gym, building 2022. There will be a reception with a variety of family activities at Parent Central Services building, located at 2295 12th St. and Bitar Ave., immediately following the lighting ceremony.

Dec. 5, 3 p.m., Madigan Army Medical Center

The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Madigan Army Medical Center is scheduled for 3 p.m. in the hospital’s Medical Mall. There will also be a menorah for Hanukkah as part of the ceremony. Following the ceremony participants will be invited to enjoy refreshments, music, and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Dec. 8, 4 p.m., McChord Field

The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at McChord Field begins at 4 p.m. Dec. 8 at the McChord Field Chapel Support Center, building 746, located at 746 Col. Joe Jackson Blvd. The ceremony will include the tree lighting and a menorah for Hanukkah. There will also be refreshments, the singing of Christmas Carols, and a guest appearance by Santa Claus included as part of the celebration.
