SEPA – Lake Kapowsin, meeting Aug 25

SEPA LEAD AGENCY & DETERMINATION OF NONSIGNIFICANCE

This is to advise you that pursuant to WAC 197-11-900 (922 through 948), the Department of Natural Resources has determined that it is Lead Agency for the following:

The Department of Natural Resources proposes to adopt the Lake Kapowsin Aquatic Reserve Management Plan. The plan provides management guidance for state-owned aquatic lands within the 512-acre area of the lake. This plan was developed in conjunction with an advisory committee composed of local residents, county and agency representatives, and local non-profit groups. The plan outlines goals, objectives, and management strategies for Lake Kapowsin, and also provides substantial information about biological characteristics, history, geology and current uses that are to be preserved and managed based on the management plan. Located in Sections 05, 06, 07, 08 and 18, Township 17 North, Range 05 East, W.M., Pierce County.

August 25, 2016 – Graham Fire Station 94, 23014 70th Avenue E, Graham, Washington, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Pursuant to WAC 332-41-504, this proposal was filed in the department’s SEPA Center at the Natural Resources Building, 1111 Washington Street SE, P.O. Box 47015, Olympia, Washington, on August 4, 2016. We will consider comments on this proposed DNS received by 4:30 p.m. on September 2, 2016. Comments should be submitted to the SEPA Center at, sepacenter@dnr.wa.gov or P.O. Box 47015, Olympia, Washington 98504-7015 for distribution to the responsible official. Please include the file number listed above on all comments.
