Unplug your child this winter and let them experience winter break the way it used to be – at Eco Explorers camp – a great outdoor adventure designed to lead to a deeper understanding of some of Pierce County’s oldest natural treasures; Spanaway Lake Park, Bresemann Forest and Sprinker Recreation Center.
Kids ages 8 to 12 will accompany environmental educators at Sprinker Recreation Center for three fun-filled days, Dec. 20-22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., where art, science, and nature all collide. Each day will be centered with cooperative play, team building challenges, science investigations, art, hiking, and of course, wildlife exploration.
The cost is $50 per child and registration must be completed by Dec. 16. Campers will need to bring a lunch each day; waste free is encouraged.
Visit Parks & Recreation’s webpage for more information or to register online. Sprinker Recreation Center is located at 14824 C St. S. Tacoma, WA 98444.
Funny how pierce county rec named this program after hours!
