Pierce County Parks is hosting a public meeting Wednesday, Dec. 7 in the evening to gather comments on the site design for Phase 1 of Cross Park in the Frederickson area of unincorporated Pierce County.

Phase 1 will develop the northern 3.5 acres of the 64-acre park along Military Road. The northern portion of the park includes the existing barns that are visible from the road.

The public meeting is the next step in refining the park’s Master Plan and will feature a presentation of the detailed site design, including the location of buildings (with interior floorplans), parking, walking trails, play equipment, picnic shelters and lawn areas. 

A Preliminary Master Plan for Cross Park was developed in 2015 and a more detailed Master Plan of the north portion of the park was presented at a public meeting in the fall of 2016.

The meeting will be held Wednesday, Dec. 7, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Cascade Building, Room 101, at the Pierce County Skills Center, 16117 Canyon Road E., Puyallup, WA, 98375.
