On Sunday, December 11 at from 5 PM – 7 PM, Pacific Lutheran University’s Scandinavian Cultural center will celebrate the Swedish Sankta Lucia Festival. Admission is $5.
For over 60 years, PLU has celebrated young women who embody integrity, steadfastness, and care, much like Saint Lucy. There will be music, dancing, community kids, and lots of candles and light. Lucy is known for bringing light to a dark world, and is identified by her crown of candles. This time of year, with it’s long nights, a little light is a welcome sight.
