Pierce County Fair debuts horse mounting ramp at special dedication

Join the time-honored annual tradition that celebrates rural life, agriculture, and family-oriented fun at the Pierce County Fair Aug. 8-11 at Frontier Park in Graham.PCty Fair 2019

Reminiscent of agricultural fairs, the Pierce County Fair embraces our local riches. Situated amongst the firs and green grass, the fair offers a variety of favorites for visitors of all ages with carnival rides, food, 4-H exhibitions and displays, kids’ tractor pull, demonstrations, competitions, and so much more. Free nightly entertainment will be on hand by local favorite musicians and artists on the main stage.

Admission is $7 at the gate, children under six are free. Parking is $5. Discount admission days and online ticket purchases are available on the fair’s website.

Fair hours are 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Thursday to Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

A special dedication ceremony will be held Sunday, Aug. 11 at 2 p.m. to commemorate the installation of a horse mounting ramp, designed to assist individuals with mobility issues to safely mount and dismount a horse. Procurement and installation of the ramp was made by possible by a grant from the Governor’s Committee on Disability Issues & Employment through the Pierce County Accessible Communities Advisory Committee.
