In August, it will be a full 14 years that the Pierce Prairie Post has been on this news blog. The only one getting advertising income is the WordPress site, and they make me pay them too. Those are not my ads, it is them. I tried to up the amount I pay to stop the ads, so what happened? They started charging more and I still get their ads, and nothing is monetized.
So, after 14 years of working for free, if anyone is interested in taking over the PPP, please let me know. I can see why The News Tribune has shuttered most of their operation in Tacoma. DIY advertising on social media doesn’t help the news media write paychecks.
I am packing. I am moving. No, I do not know where. No, not under the eve of the Wells Fargo in Spanaway. Congress people want to do away with Social Security. It would help if they would double it instead the way costs have risen. I have run out of options, and it is time for a reset.
So, if you are willing, and the good Lord left you with a few pennies, you can contribute to the send the Editor on a vacation fund. Maybe a resounding cheer will go up when I leave town. But first, I have to pack with a double hernia (from my cancer surgery) and a hip that needs replacing.
Donate to the Send the Editor on Vacation Fund, here. Or perhaps, if you actually like the PPP, that is good too.

Hi Marianne,
I am so sorry to learn of all your worries with Pierce Prairie Post and to let you know how much of a loss this would be if you do stop publishing.
I have learned so much of the history of our community and surrounding areas from you.
I have met you a few times at different events and have thoroughly enjoyed all the information you have shared.
May I make a suggestion?
Why not consider doing a blog or podcast on YouTube to share your knowledge?
As far as I know, there is no fee to do this and if you get enough subscribers, views, and likes they pay you!
it might be worth considering as an option.
A loyal reader,
Judy Predmore

Bruce smith is back in the area. I’ll cc him on this as maybe he’d be interested. Carol
