Upcoming Observatory Open House

The PLU Physics Department is opening up the Keck Observatory to the public for tours!  Join PLU summer research students on the evening of Thursday, July 23rd from 9:00-11:00pm. All are invited to take a tour of the observatory, learn about the stars, and look through telescopes (if there are clear skies)! If there’s a crowd, we’ll be letting 12 people into the observatory every ten minutes.

Evenings can be cool, so dress for summer night temperatures. This event is free and open to the public. Parking on the street and the surrounding lots is also free. Follow the red lights to the observatory dome.

The W.M. Keck Observatory at Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) is located at 12180 Park Ave S, Parkland, WA 98447. It sits on the PLU campus, just south of the Rieke Science Center and Olson Gym.
