The editor of the Pierce Prairie Post has been on medical leave since October 5, 2015. In December 2014 and again in June 2015, she had injuries to a lumbar disk in her back. After an MRI on September 23, it was revealed she was in need of emergency surgery to a herniated disk in her L4-L5 lumbar. The laminscopy was successful and she is resting comfortably, with some minor residual numbness in her foot that hopefully will heal over time.
So If you have wondered what happened to the PPP this year, sitting in a chair to publish stories hasn’t been the most comfortable of tasks for several months. If you send in a press release, you are far more likely to have something published than expecting she will catch the information on the fly. Apologies to those events which have been missed. The Post hopes to be back in full form by Thanksgiving.
Elk Plain Post 118 of the American Legion hopes the Editor recovers quickly and if the Editor needs anything all one needs to do is ask. Stand tall Editor, our prayers are with you.
Thank you, your best wishes are appreciated.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery. You’ll be back to your old self real soon.
