PARKLAND, WA — in spite of record heat this year, the Garfield Street Fair had many ways to keep patrons and workers cool. Besides the shade of some quaint old trees for many cars and vendors to locate under, many booths offered free water and lemonade for their guests.
There were lots of classic cars, bouncy houses, balloon makers, crafts, gifts, raffles, live bands, local non-profit groups and a beer garden. It was a magnificent event on this very sunny Saturday in August.
