Spanaway Lake High School will hold its annual Holiday Craft Fair Nov 7-8. They are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Pierce County Library and Parks & Rec. are co-sponsoring a DIY Fest at Sprinker Recreation Center on Nov. 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Are you interested in canning, crocheting or gardening? Can you build or fix nearly anything? Do you fish, forage or preserve food? Come join us at DIY Fest this year, where we celebrate the Do-It-Yourself culture we have in Pierce County.

Experts and aficionados will showcase their skills through hands-on activities. Learn fun and useful things on a variety of topics from crafting and sustainable living to cooking and home renovation. The event also features local authors, kitchen demonstrations, food trucks and a Barter Faire.

Nov. 7 is also a Sock Hop at Marymount. Come kick off your shoes for some real Rock & Roll!
